When I painted this image I was thinking about a recent dog walk when I had picked up a dropped ball and got a really painful nettle sting on my hand.
The jagged sharpness of the sting, the colours of the nettles and the yellowing grass just sort of came out of me and into the image. The red anger that I experienced from all of the above seemed to coalesce into a title for the piece, Greeny Meany.
I think that describes this painting perfectly.
